What time are summer camps?
Summer camps are offered from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in June and July. Full day camps are offered from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in July at select locations. After-care camps are offered from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. on the same weeks as the full day camps (extra registration fees apply).

Where are Summer Camps offered?
Round Rock ISD community education summer camps are offered at three Round Rock ISD campuses this summer: Herrington Elementary (east RR), Pearson Ranch Middle School (Central RR/Austin), and Grisham Middle School (Northwest Austin).

Do you have to attend a specific location?
No, you may choose the location and camps that are best for your family.

Do you offer summer camps for all ages?
We offer summer camps for students in grades K-12. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2020.

Do students have to attend Round Rock ISD schools to participate?
No, any student who is the appropriate age may participate in summer camps.

​​Is transportation provided to/from camps?
No. Transportation is not available.

​Is lunch provided during summer camps?
No. Students who are participating in half day camps are asked to bring their own nut-free snack and water bottle. Students who are participating in a full day camp must bring their own nut-free sack lunch, snack, and water bottle.

D​oes my student need to bring any supplies to camp?
No. All supplies and materials will be provided. The instructor will email you if there are any specific requests for your camp such as what to bring, wear, etc. Students should not bring any electronics or valuables to camp.

What discounts are available for summer camps?
Sibling discounts apply. You can qualify for the sibling discount and receive $10 off registration for up to two students in the same family when you register both students for the same week of camp. Discount code is available during registration. Discounts cannot be combined.

Do Round Rock ISD employees receive a discount for summer camps?
Yes. Current Round Rock ISD employees and their dependents qualify for a 20% discount off each registration. Discounts cannot be combined.

Do you offer scholarships for summer camps?
If your student qualifies for free or reduced lunch, then you may request a scholarship for a specific camp.

How do students check-in and out at summer camps?
Parent/Guardian must sign their student in with the instructor in the common area designated by the “Community Education Camps” sign. Parents must initial EVERY DAY for the appropriate day when they check-in and check-out their child(ren).

Can students be dropped off early for summer camps?
Students can be checked in no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and must be signed in by a parent or guardian. Elementary children cannot be dropped off or picked up by their parents in the parking lot.

Do I need to walk my child in for summer camps?
Yes. Elementary children cannot be dropped off or picked up by their parents in the parking lot. Middle and high school students may sign themselves in with the instructor.

Who can pick my child up from camp?
Only registered parents/guardians or a person designated under your summer camp registration may pick up students from camps. Please contact us if you need to make any changes.

What is the latest that I can pick up my student?
Half-day camp students must be picked up between 12 and 12:15 p.m. Full-day camp students must be picked up between 3 and 3:45 p.m. After-care camp students must be picked up between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. Late charges apply.

What will I be charged if I’m late to pick up my student?
You will have 15 minutes after dismissal of class to pick up your child(ren). You will be charged $14.00 for the next 15 minutes and $1.00 per minute thereafter. The fee is due at the time of pick up and the fee is per child.

What if I need to pick up my child early?
Please notify the Round Rock ISD on-site employee and the instructor and they will coordinate early pick up with you.

How do I cancel a camp if our plans change?
Please refer to the cancellation deadlines and refund policy for more information. Requests to cancel must be emailed to us by the cancellation deadline to receive a partial refund or voucher for a future class/camp.

Can I sign up for after-care camp if my student didn’t attend camp that day?
No, students must be participating in a Full Day Camp to sign up for After Care Camp.

When are after-care camps available?
After-care camps are available in July from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at both our Herrington Elementary and Pearson Ranch Middle School camp locations. Students must participate in a full-day camp to sign up for after-care camp.
